Bishop-elect Peter Karam is the first Maronite priest incardinated outside of Lebanon to be elected to serve as a bishop in Lebanon.
We are all deeply proud of Bishop-elect Karam as he assumes his new ministry, but also for the many years of faithful service to the Maronite Church in the United States. His election is an honor for the Eparchy of Our Lady of Lebanon of Los Angeles. While his ministry as a bishop will be a great asset for the universal Maronite Church, he will be greatly missed in our Eparchy.
I ask you to join your prayers with mine for Bishop-elect Karam as he assumes this new responsibility in the Church.
Sincerely yours in Christ,
+ A. Elias Zaidan
